A customer wanted to rent car B at first, but car B is new car that not yet registered. Therefore, car Rental Company offered him Car A. Customer agreed and paid deposit for car A.

Later on, Car B registration is done and ready to rent out, so customer returns car A to the car rental company. Customer paid deposit again and took the Car B.

In account side, the rental company should refund the deposit for Car A then everything would be settled.

If an account official could not understand such simple transaction at above, I doubt that she could really do accounting or not.
